There, I said it!
No seriously, it is beautiful, has plenty of great features, and works like a dream. The only trouble I’ve had so far is some compatibility issues with one third-party program, and it got fixed once I wrote to them.
It is astonishing how many people engage in Vista bashing because it is a Microsoft product and it is cool to hate Microsoft; and what confounds me more is that when I ask them some questions I realize that most of them haven’t even tried out the darned OS!
But by far the funniest group are the Mac fanboys. They are like the weather at London; it is impossible to try to reason with them (and no, I do NOT claim that Apple makes bad computers). Anyway here is a nice article for those who think Apple is holier than Microsoft.

I tried Vista but reverted back to xp soon enough. Vista is quite a bit buggy and slow and I don’t like all that DRM stuff but it could make a decent secondary os once it stabilizes. I will stick to XP till 6 months of a stable service pack or till a deal breaker game comes along – lets see which happens first. My linux has grown into too good a primary meanwhile.
Out of curiosity, have you tried Ubuntu yet? You might want to try a dual boot with it. I suppose you will be pleasantly surprised.
:) it’s good running sys and have nice look
It’s more like linux, so I like the su – user concept in it….
[...] strange Vista bias Posted on March 1, 2008 by Abhishek I have posted about the Vista bias before. It seems to be strongest among those who have never used the software (or barely used it). The [...]
i’ve been using windows xp for a long time. upgraded to windows vista and i hated it. changed to xp again and then finally mac now.
Yep, I really love Windows Vista too. You have to have the right hardware to use it, or it will really suck!
Besides that, Vista in my laptop runs like a charm! Really useful, and powerful than Windows XP. I don’t miss Windows XP, and by the way I hate it! It’s really old and primitive at some point :P
I really look forward to put my hands on Windows 7 which is based on the Vista kernel! ;)
Best regards from Peru! :D
even though i like linux (kiwi ubuntu) now,for 2 years i had vista oem on my 4gb ram ,4GHz cpu laptop, and didnt get any virus ..no malware,no adware no nothing. i love vista ,but i use linux because i dont know..it’s better for me..gives me alot of reading and forums and i get cool new stuff on it and blah blah.
but i also read alot of internet stories from people getting BSOD in vista and stuff, but i really think their problem is that :
1) their system MUST be from around few years old
2)they download like idiots all suspicious stuff they find on the internet
3)they watch porn.
